Well our First Fun Friday got off to fantastic start. Damien, Hugh & myself (JV) arrived to find the ghost of Vincent Frawley (yes he has officially been declared dead by his parish priest) clearing the courts of litter in preparation. I thought (hoped) it might be called off due to the rain but Damien had other ideas. Vincent was unable to play as his wings were getting too wet and so we duly played our 'American Doubles" (A first for Damien-so I didn't feel the need to tell him he only had to cover the singles court..not that it made a lot of difference--A Hare on Steroids springs to mind) Oh and Hugh forgot to collect our €2. If the treasurer can't even remember.....I don't know.
